Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety is an alliance of consumer, medical, public health, law enforcement, and safety groups and insurance companies and agents working together to improve road safety in the United States. The Advocates’ mission is the adoption of federal and state laws, policies and programs that prevent motor vehicle crashes, save lives, reduce injuries, and contain costs. Presenting clear and accurate — and compelling — information is crucial to Advocates success in lobbying, recruiting stories from victims, and the support of all stakeholders.
For more than three decades, Daylight has assisted Advocates and their coalition partners with communicating the importance of highway safety laws to a variety of stakeholder audiences, from federal elected officials to corporations to voters. This has included message development; branding; targeted persuasion media campaigns; visual aids to strategically assist members of Congress in presenting Advocates’ information on the floor of the U.S. Senate; and design, development and maintenance of a robust website.
Daylight also designs Advocate’s eagerly anticipated annual editions of the Roadmap of State Highway and Safety Laws, bringing visual character and messaging to what is often a technical and complex subject matter.
