Case Study: Challenge Seattle
Challenges
Challenge Seattle is an alliance of 22 organizations that represent some of the Pacific Northwest region’s largest employers and most successful innovators. Led by former Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire, they harness their members’ bold thinking, committed leadership, unique resources, and world-class talent to tackle some of the region’s most pressing civic challenges, such as homelessness, wildfire prevention, organized retail crime, housing affordability, transportation, and racial equity.
The Challenge Seattle team faced a very similar situation to the Biller Family Foundation — how to evolve their website to better reflect the organization’s success and make its actionable content more compelling, contemporary in style, and more accessible to their audiences.
Solutions and Outcomes
We followed a similar approach to that we recommend for the Biller Family Foundation site: redesign the site to put the organization’s impact front and center — from reports to initiatives to areas of focus. We used our ‘discovery’ process to hone in on Challenge Seattle’s core messages and how to best frame them online. We defined their audiences and relative expectations. We identified the best content to present their case. We developed new content to reflect their most recent successes. All this led to a complete redesign of their web presence, including new brand identity.
